A failing battery is one of the most common causes of a car not starting – and one of the most avoidable. The frustrating part is that batteries often give little warning before they go. One cold morning, everything is fine; the next, nothing happens when you turn the key.

Signs your battery may need replacing:

• Slow or struggling engine crank on start-up
• Battery warning light on the dashboard
• Electrical systems behaving erratically
• The battery is more than four or five years old
• Your car has sat unused for an extended period

The right battery for your vehicle

Not all batteries are equal, and fitting the wrong specification can cause problems – particularly on vehicles with stop-start systems, regenerative braking, or higher electrical demands. We use the correct battery type and specification for your vehicle as standard, and we’ll properly register the new battery with the vehicle’s management system where required.

This is a step many fast-fit operators skip. We don’t.
